For many outsides of the Cordillera, the Cordillera rice terraces are what one sees in Banaue (Poblacion). Popularized by tourism and media, the Banaue rice terraces have become the public image showcasing the ingenuity, engineering skills, and sheer physical labor of the indigenous peoples in the region, in this case, the Ifugao.
